Despite strong performances by Worcestershire County lady archers, the team crashed to last place at the Four Counties match at Cheshire, in a tournament held in difficult conditions of extreme cold and gusty winds.
Scores: Cheshire 14593; Staffordshire 13968; Derbyshire 13179; Worcester-shire 12942.
Sheila Harris of Redhill AC scored the highest ladies Compound score of the day with a superb 1205. Redditch's lady Recurve champion, Carole Holt, made her debut for the Worcestershire team, with the third highest score for a Worcestershire lady.
The county team will be hoping for an improved performance in the Gloucestershire match at Cheltenham.
