CALLOW Hill rider Jason Wilshaw takes a 53 point championship lead to Snetterton for rounds six and seven of the Classics Club Post Classics Series in ten days.
Wilshaw saw arch rivals Mark Pinkney and Mark Carkeek take each other out of the first of two races at Mallory Park, leaving him to win the round.
And the reigning champion was lying second in the next race before a carburettor problem caused an engine misfire which cost him eight seconds over two laps.
But his lead on the chasing pack was sufficient to see him finish runner-up and add to his series lead over Pinkney in the 16 round championship.
