A HOME from hospital service designed to give former patients short-term support and practical assistance is set to benefit more people in Bromsgrove.
The British Red Cross has appointed a new assistant co-ordinator Sarah Vassell for the service, which started as a pilot scheme in Worcester 15 years ago and has now expanded to cover Bromsgrove and Redditch.
She will be based at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, off Stourbridge Road, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays between 9am and 2.30pm.
The free service is available for up to four weeks after discharge from hospital.
To make the service even more widely available more volunteers are needed.
