COMMUNITY issues close to the hearts of residents will be at the fore tomorrow night.

A second series of Bromsgrove District Council's spotlight meetings are being launched to encourage folk discuss topical subjects such as services and initiatives.

Agenda items for tomorrow (Thursday) include feedback from the meeting held at the council offices last November, which launched a six-month consultation package covering the whole district.

Other issues to be discussed will include the proposed Bromsgrove arts centre, the Community Safety Partnership, healthy schools, public transport and health.

A question and discussion session will round off the evening at the Council House, in Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove.

District council corporate director and district secretary, Bob Lewis, said: "The first series of meetings held throughout the district proved a great success.

"We hope more people than ever will attend and take up the opportunity to have their say about local issues," added Mr Lewis.

The multi-agency gathering begins at 7.15pm and is jointly organised by Bromsgrove District Council, Worcestershire County Council, West Mercia Police and Redditch and Bromsgrove Primary Care Trust.
