THE dog warden in Bromsgrove dealt with nearly 200 strays in the last year. The service returned 45 to their owners and re-homed 70 of the 185 dogs - but had to put 35 to sleep. Between March 2001 and April this year, there were 22 complaints about dogs barking, the warden's report says. There were also 25 complaints about dog fouling in the area, with seven incidents making December the messiest month. Bromsgrove District Council's executive cabinet will discuss the report at a meeting tonight (Wednesday).
