SMOKERS at the Alexandra Hospital will soon be directed to an outdoor shelter if they want a cigarette.
Plans have yet to be drawn up on where it will go but it is hoped it will stop patients and visitors smoking near the main entrance of the Woodrow Drive hospital.
The Bromsgrove and Redditch Community Health Council expressed concern last month about people smoking near the entrance.
A Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust spokesman said the trust had an active smoking cessation programme for both staff and patients.
