HEWELL endured a disastrous weekend with a nine wicket defeat to Hanley Castle & Upton compounded by a couple of injuries.
Top scorer Billy Gill provided one of few bright spots for Mark Allcock's team with 40 runs but tore a hamstring going for a run and was run out.
All-rounder Gill is set for an extended spell on the sidelines and Keith Pannell is out for a week after pulling a muscle in his elbow.
With opening bat Ian Williams ruled out through family commitments for the trip to Stone on Saturday (2pm start), Allcock is set to turn to the club's youngsters again.
Star man Kish Patel has moved out of the area, bowler Tim Piper has retired and Luke Davies has rejoined Birmingham League neighbours Redditch.
But Allcock is hoping bat Alan Brownlee will be available on Saturday.
