THE best of the West End musicals is set to hit the Palace Theatre on Saturday, writes Melina Cannon.

The Wonderful West End features hit songs from current musicals performed by an all-star cast of principal artistes from some of the top London shows.

The cast currently features performers from Whistle Down The Wind, Les Miserables, Oliver! and Starlight Express, accompanied by members of the London Stage Orchestra and narrated by David Gray.

The show is now in its 10th record-breaking year and features selections from musicals including Whistle Down The Wind, Mamma Mia, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Blood Brothers, Starlight Express, Buddy, Cats and Les Miserables.

Songs include The Phantom of the Opera, I Dreamed a Dream, That'll Be The Day, All That Jazz, Memory, No Matter What, Dancing Queen, Any Dream Will Do, Consider Yourself and Tell Me It's not True.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10.50 and £9.50 (with Reddicard) from the Tourist Information Centre, Alcester Street, or the box office on 65203.
