A DROITWICH Spa U11 football team has completed their own version of Arsenal's Premiership and FA Cup double.

The team, from Westacre Middle School, in Ombersley Way, secured the Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove School's U11 League with a 6-0 thrashing of Alvechurch Middle School.

The result was enough to keep the team ahead of Witton Middle School, in Old Coach Road, on goal difference.

Glenn Borthwick's side had already sealed the first part of their first double in five years by winning the Bromsgrove and Droitwich Festival Cup in April.

Mr Borthwick said: "It's a testimony to how much can be achieved when a group of talented players add a sense of teamwork to their play."

The successful team will now try to achieve the treble by beating Kidderminster school league winners Franche in a play-off to decide the area champions.
