A BROMSGROVE artist is displaying a colourful selection of artwork at the town library over the coming weeks.

Twenty seven-year-old Jonathan Holmes (above) was asked to return to Bromsgrove Library, in Stratford Road, after his successful exhibition last year.

Having been interested in drawing and painting from childhood, the talented artist is exhibiting his collection of water colours, oil and ink drawings from Saturday, May 4 through to Saturday, June 1.

Assistant librarian Wendy Gibbon said: "Anyone wishing to bring in their artwork from paintings, needlework and embroidery can contact us and if we think it is suitable we will display it in the library and artists can also sell their work if they wish."

To sample Jonathan Holmes' exhibition, visit the library between 9.30am and 7pm on Mondays and Fridays, between 9.30am and 5pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and until 4pm on Saturdays.
