I WOULD strongly dispute the assertion by Tony Partridge that "the great majority of Worcester people support the suggested new venue for Worcester City" as there is no valid evidence for what is only his opinion as a supporter and Director of the club.
The reports in the Evening News seem quite plain in that the Local Plan does not allow for this development linked to the massive B&Q store.
This is quite apart from the adverse effect on the unfortunate local residents whose objections should not be ignored simply because the Football Club wishes to move location.
Mr Roden is not alone in wishing correct procedures to be followed in this matter and I feel will not suffer any sleepless nights at the loss of support from Mr Partridge.
Worcester has many things to be proud of both past and present and the existence or otherwise of a Football Club is not, I feel, high in the priorities of the great majority of Worcester citizens.
