REGIONAL food and drink will be on offer as the Malvern Food Festival makes a long-awaited come back.

The Malvern Food Festival is organised by the Heart of England Fine Foods and will be held in the courtyard of the old Malvern bottling plant, now Robson Ward's furniture and kitchen showroom.

"This event ran as a one-off food festival four years ago," said festival organiser Lynn Wood, of HEFF.

"It was a great success and many locals have asked for its return.

"We are very pleased to offer a wonderful selection of seasonal, regional foods and drinks to buy and taste.

"We also have a rolling timetable of cookery demonstrations using local produce and visitors can relax in the old courtyard, listening to music from a strolling jazz and blues band."

Among those demonstrating are chef and farmer Judy Goodman and Kevin Caper, from the White Seasons Restaurant, in Malvern. Herefordshire spring lamb and Worcestershire asparagus will be high on the menu.

The festival runs from 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday, May 25.
