WORCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club is urging people to pull their socks up and raise money for charity.
The New Road team is backing Sport Relief's charity bonanza on Saturday, July 15, which will see thousands of people run a mile at hundreds of different courses the length and breadth of the UK.
The club's coach Steve Rhodes said: "I hope that hundreds of people in Worcester and beyond will do something special and run the Sport Relief mile.
"The charity does so much good work and participants will be getting fit and healthy in the process, so it's a win-win situation."
A spokesman for Sport Relief said: "Everyone who signs up to participate will receive an entry pack with a red sock to be worn on the day, and once they have passed the finishing post another red sock will be handed out to prove that
they have completed the
one-mile course."
