A BLIND student will be taking a leap of faith when he jumps from a plane 10,000 feet above the Worcestershire countryside.
Twenty-year-old Andrew Hodgson , from Bromyard, will be making the tandem skydive to raise funds for Worcestershire Association for the Blind.
Mr Hodgson is now looking for sponsorship for the challenge he will be facing in the summer.
"If you've ever wanted to do a parachute jump like Andrew, here is your chance," said the association's fund raiser Joyce Carnie.
"We're looking for adventurous volunteers.
"If you raise enough in sponsorship you'll get to jump for free."
There are two types of jump available - a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet, during which you are attached to an instructor, and a static line which is performed solo up to 3,000ft.
Volunteers can jump from any of the 25 British Parachute Association approved airfields in the UK.
No experience is necessary as all training is given, and, if you raise between £270 and £340, you will jump free.
The association was set up 70 years ago and offers a range of services and support to visually impaired people throughout the county.
Ring Joyce Carnie at Worcestershire Association for the Blind on 01905 723245 if you would like to sponsor Mr Hodgson, or require an information pack about taking part in a jump.
