A DESPERATE dad has threatened to kill one of a gang of children who have been tormenting him for months.

The disabled 49-year-old claims that a mob of up to 20 youths - led by a teenage girl - throw eggs, stones and water bombs at his window and shout "sick pervert" when his six-year-old daughter goes to stay.

He has admitted that, after around 30 incidents at his home in Worcester's Arboretum, he was so upset he told the police operator: "I am going out to kill one of them - where do you want me to put the body?"

"I am at the end of my tether," said the man, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals.

"When my daughter comes to stay at weekends, they shout "You like little girls, you sick pervert", as we get out of the car. It's horrible.

"My daughter's so scared she won't walk from one room to the next without me.

"I don't know why they do it - perhaps it's because I walk with a walking stick and they think I'm more vulnerable.

"But I will kill one of them soon if someone doesn't help."

The divorced sciatica sufferer, who has resorted to installing a security camera in his car to capture the thugs in action, plans to move from Little Chestnut Street within the month because of the abuse.

He has also taken pictures from an upstairs window of his house as proof of the mixed-race attacks.

Worcester police spokesman Vicki Davis confirmed that the man had made many complaints, sometimes in the early hours of the morning, and said there was a problem in the street.

"I have several logs from people who live there about the kids' behaviour," she said.

"We do patrol the area and talk to the children regularly but, being children, they tend to victimise certain people.

"But we're following the man's complaints up and doing our very best to help him."
