GREAT Witley Operatic Society will perform Gilbert and Sullivan's The Yeomen of the Guard from May 14 to 18 in Worcester's Swan Theatre.
This will be the group's fourth production of Yeoman, and will be directed by Aileen Haden, who has played the role of Phoebe Meryll for the society on two previous occasions.
Aileen's husband John Haden is music director and will be conducting the 40-strong cast and full orchestra through some of Sullivan's finest and grandest music.
A spectacular set depicting the Tower of London and colourful Tudor costumes mean this production is a fitting choice for the society's Golden Jubilee performance, coinciding with forthcoming royal celebrations.
Tickets £5-£10 from 01905 27322 or Mrs Pat Bosworth on 01905 422789.
