I'VE spent several hours this month watching the salmon leap in the pool under the weir at Diglis.
As it will soon be June, I fancy I'll find myself watching out for the ocean lamprey migration. These primitive fish struggle endlessly to ascend the weir, none of them ever giving up, such is the urge to breed in their birth rivers.
Not a unique observation by any means, yet it's still worth saying again - yes, Nature's wonderful all right.
