THIS month our daughter will be getting married in church. She and her fiance will be declaring their commitment to one another in the presence of their families and friends and in the presence of God. They are two people brought together by love.
St Paul had something to say about love "Love is patient; love is king; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." And he says, "Love never ends".
Human love, whether it be that shared between partners, or parent and child, or friends, or neighbours, is only a glimpse, a reflection of the love that God had for each one of us, a love so strong that we cannot comprehend it.
It was that love that gave us life in the first place, and new life through His son Jesus. It is God's love which calls us all to try and show the love that is in us to all those around us.
