HEREFORDSHIRE villages are not letting the Queen's Golden Jubilee pass without a real celebration, with a host of events organised between June 1-4.

Colwall Rotary Club's fun day, not an annual event but a regular fixture, will have a jubilee flavour when it is held on the Monday (June 3) on the playing fields near the Downs School. There will also be a display by the Upton branch of the Severn Area Rescue Association.

August 19 is still to be arranged. Walks start at 6.45pm and finish near a pub. For more details, ring 01684 540103.
