PEOPLE have been warned to lock doors and windows when leaving the house - even if it is just for a few moments.
The warning comes from West Mercia Police after thieves got into a Droitwich house and stole two mobile phones.
PC Mike Stephenson, crime risk officer for South Worcestershire, said: "Sneak thieves will take any opportunity to get what they want, especially if it's handed on a plate to them.
"It is all too tempting to leave our doors and windows open in hot weather. Always lock your doors and windows, the extra few minutes it takes could save a lot of expense and inconvenience."
