POOLBROOK residents terrorised by crows stealing the rubber from their windscreen wipers are still under attack.

A pair of birds have been swooping on cars parked near St Andrew's Church.

The Gazette first reported the bizarre attacks at the beginning of April and they have continued unabated.

Mabs Allbright-Webb, of Knoll Lane, said this week that barely a day goes by without her having to chase the birds from her car.

"They're just very destructive ," she said. "I think we should shoot the damn things."

Frank Seabright, head of environmental health at Malvern Hills District Council, said they were powerless to do anything.

"The situation is that there's no requirement and no way we can take action against this odd situation.

"If things get out of hand then the owner of land can take action against the birds but normally all animals and birds are protected. We would refer people to the Countryside Commission to get advice."
