A ROCK 'n' roll dance group that raised thousands of pounds for charity is getting back together with new organisers calling the tune.

Malvern Crepes and Drapes had become well established before the friends running it decided to quit last year for personal reasons.

Now four more people have come forward to run the group's monthly dances and they will start giving money to local charities as soon as they break even.

"We have had to start from scratch," said Keith Smith, one of the new organisers.

"All the people who went to the dances have been very helpful and have helped show us the ropes."

The next dance, featuring Sandy Ford's Flying Saucers, takes place at Hanley Castle High School on Saturday, May 11. For further details, ring 01684 833556 or 01905 617017.
