MID-WORCESTERSHIRE MP Peter Luff has given his support to a campaign for more debt relief to be offered to poorer countries.
Mr Luff joined protestors from the Jubilee Debt Campaign and World Development Movement outside the Houses of Parliament for a demonstration and is also one of more than 300 MPs, who signed an Early Day Motion urging the Government to push for more debt relief.
He sad: "Debt relief is one of the biggest issues in my postbag and I am delighted to associate myself with such an important campaign.
"The fact that so many people have signed this EDM is a message to the Government that debt relief is still a vitally important issue."
He added: "Only with greater debt relief will we be able to lift people from poverty."
