YOUR front page article (Ledbury Reporter, April 26) should have been headed "Safety concerns farce".
Am I to believe the Health & Safety Executive accept the installation of temporary toilets off Bye Street car park, but object to permanent ones being built on the same site?
It's OK if some poor soul is squashed by a Woolworth's lorry temporarily but not permanently. If this site is safe for temporary toilets, then it must be safe for permanent ones.
As a ratepayer may I ask if the new toilet block is to be armour plated against vandalism, at an extortionate £60,000; I would hope so!
Any long established local builder would probably have done the job for a lot less or taken advantage and retired on the profit.
MRS Y M WHITE, Bye Street, Ledbury.
