THIS Sunday (May 5) the Malvern RFC Youth Development Section is hosting a seven-a-side tag-rugby tournament based upon the Rugby World Cup competition at its Spring Lane HQ in Malvern Link.

The competition marks the end of the 10th anniversary year of the Malvern RFC Youth Development Section and the tournament organisers are hoping for a big turn-out of local children to join in.

The tournament is open to all of the Malvern club's mini/midi rugby players and the pupils from the ten Malvern primary schools that are taking part in the Malvern Hills District Tag Rugby Mini Leagues. Admission for all registered Malvern junior members is free, but non-members will be asked to pay £2 for temporary membership and insurance.

Parents and guardians are also welcomed to join in the fun and enjoy the Spring Lane facilities while their aspiring 'Internationals' take to the field. All players are asked to register from 11.15 am for a noon kick-off.

After the RWC tag-rugby tournament has ended, prizes and awards will be given-out to the competitors followed soon after with live music in the Malvern RFC clubhouse.

More details can be obtained from Malvern RFC on 01684 573728 or on the Malvern RFC YDS website http://www.geocities. com/rugbypost/rwc2002/html.
