FOLLOWING their defeat on the previous Tuesday night by Koinonia 4-5, The West travelled to Langland on Saturday.

LANGLAND SPORTS 1, WEST MALVERN 2

The West played down the slope in the first half but it was Langland that drew first blood. A ball was played in to the box and with the West defence static Langland scored with ease.

This spurred the West to greater effort and they equalised when Matthew Powell drove the ball home from close range.

The second half was a game of few chances but a piece of individual brilliance by Lee Tracey gave the West the three points.

WEST MALVERN 2, UPTON TOWN 2

WEST played their final Worcester league Division One home fixture of the season on Tuesday against champions elect Upton and were only denied victory by a late equaliser.

West went 1-0 down just after half-time but a superb effort from Lee Tracey equalised. Andy Hurrell then put them ahead but a late equaliser levelled the scores.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the West, sponsored by Amey, play their final league game of the season at Oak Apple. The match has an early kick-off of noon. Players to meet at eurohaus, 11am or the Carlisle Road ground at 11.30am.
