WITHOUT a draw in the first 20 games of the season, Radar have now drawn their last three matches and may well have to settle for third or fourth place in the Worcester Sunday Division Two.

MALVERN RADAR 3, BIRDPORT 3

The home side should have been after revenge after losing heavily when the teams met earlier in the season, but a lack lustre first half display saw them concede two goals through Martin Sadler and Birdport defender Paul Trueman, who forced the ball home following a corner.

With Radar kicking down the slope in the second half Birdport had to defend with some determination and when Dave Marshall scooped the ball over the bar from close range early on it looked as if it might be one of those days.

Radar finally managed to pull a goal back in the 63rd minute when Russ Brewer's fine cross was glanced in by Lee Brookes.

Birdport keeper Sean Sollom did well to tip over a couple of efforts but was beaten by Phil Birch who scored from close range following a scramble to level things up. Sollom then picked up a knock and had to play as an outfield player and Radar must have fancied their chances but Leroy Williamson promptly burst through a static defence to put Birdport 3-2 up.

Radar continued to press forward and Birch and James Curtis both wasted easy chances before Brookes again headed in to make it all square. Radar's keeper then completely miscued a goal kick but managed to recover somehow to keep out Sollom's attempt.

Radar finish their season this Sunday at Wyvern, players meet RSRE Club at 9.30.
