HELEN James, who works at Wood Norton Hall, travelled to America on Monday to take part and represent the UK in a series of tournaments and an international test match.
Helen, who lives in Peopleton, got into Polocrosse - lacrosse on horseback - through her local Pony Club when she was younger.
She currently plays "A" Grade Polocrosse which is where all the international players from South Africa, New Zealand and Aust-ralia play in International Tournaments.
Helen and the rest of the team will be staying with American families during their stay and riding on horses drawn out of a hat.
