WORCESTER Rugby Club celebrated a double success with the under sevens and eights clinching titles.

The under sevens made it four wins out of four to claim the tournament title while the eights also turned on the style to finish as top team.

The under sevens opened up with victory against a strong Droitwich side. The large pitch provided a high scoring game and in the end the pace of Hayden Moncrief and George Preece and the strong tackling of Andrew Boyce proved to be the difference with Worcester winning 5-4.

Excellent defence from Liam Naughton , Scott Smith , Daniel Muscott and Toby Sitch proved to be decisive as Worcester marched past Moseley 5-2.

They then rolled over Luctonians 5-1 with William Cusack starring with two try-saving tackles. Eddie Harling Jack Willis also caught the eye.

The final match against a very tired Bridgnorth team was awarded a 'walk-over' and so Worcester's under sevens were crowned champions.

The under eights maintained their excellent tournament record when they opened up with a six tries to one demolition of Bridgnorth, followed by a 6-3 victory against Hereford and then a 6-2 win over Luctonians.

In the next match, against Droitwich -- who were defending an unbeaten three-match run -- Worcester edged a 2-0 win with some dogged defensive play.

In the final, Worcester faced Moseley and, in another tight affair, they notched a 2-1 success to secure the title.
