Worcester City football fans will have the chance to see former club favourites in action tomorrow night as a Past XI team plays John Barton's current side (7.45).

The match is part of the club's centenary celebrations and former boss George Rooney, who had two spells at the Lane, will manage the Past XI with Steve Fergusson taking the captain's armband.

Also playing will be Mark Gayle, Paul Moore, Fergusson, Ashley Vickers, Dave Benton, Stuart Leeding, Danny Williams, Joe Jackson, Andy Awford, John McGrath, Paul Molloy, Phil Mason, Paul Chenoweth, Peter Gocan, Gary Smith, Brian Mogford, Steve Rutter, Mark Whitehouse, Phil Stant, Ray Woods and Howard Revan.

The club is still hopeful that Des Lyttle, now of Premiership West Bromwich Albion, will be able to play.

There will be a re-union of the 1979 Southern League Championship side with a reception and hot buffet in the Harry Knowles Lounge.

Players who have so far agreed to attend are Jim Cumbes, Ralph Punsheon, Graham Allner, Kevin Tudor, Lionel Martin, Barry Lowe, Barry Williams, Jimmy Williams, Kenny Lawrence, Gary Stevens, Kevin Deehan, Dave Roberts, current City boss John Barton, Graham Selby, Malcolm Phelps and the 1979 coach and former manager Graham Newton.

The championship side will be presented to the crowd on the pitch prior to kick-off.

Worcester's current skipper, central defender Carl Heeley, will be presented with the supporters' club player of the year award while keeper Paul Wyatt will receive the George Goode Memorial Shield for young player of the year.

* Worcester City's youth team can clinch the Midland Floodlit Youth League championship with victory at Malvern Town's Langland Stadium tonight (7.30).
