AN offence of indecent assault on a nine-year-old girl came before a court more than five years later.
The offender, Simon Badger, a 19-year-old chef, was ordered by Kidderminster magistrates to pay £500 compensation to the girl.
Badger, who lives in the staff quarters at Kidderminster Golf Club in Russell Road, admitted assaulting the girl when he was 13.
He had been affected by drink at the time, the court was told.
He was ordered to carry out 120 hours of community work and to pay £75 costs.
His name will stay on the national sex offenders' register for five years.
