SAILING: Warm weather and excellent winds gave the Saturday sailors an early taste of summer at Trimpley Reservoir.
Paul Wooddisse and crew Rob Hart won the GP14 contests from Richard Turnock and Andy Holden in the first race and Malcolm and Elaine Rogers in the second.
Turnock retired in the second after a near capsize, leaving Mike and Pat Stout in third position.
On Sunday, fresh and tricky winds made for lively conditions.
There were five capsizes during training and several retirements in the competition.
Mick James and novice crew Sarah Hessletine won the noon GP14 race from Simon Fletcher and Glen Caulwell with the Tromans combination third.
Jeff Halford and crew Dawn Bradley came back to form with two good wins in the main series, first beating Fletcher and newcomer Simon Holden with the Allan family boat in third.
Then Halford and Bradley beat Fletcher and Holden again, followed by the Tromans this time.
Mark and Michelle Tromans won both GP14 races on handicap.
Tom Jeffs won the Noon Laser race as Ian Davies retired.
In the second of the Laser races, John Cookson beat Eddie Hillman with Jeffs retiring and he then took the final contest as well.
