PTA: Fladbury First School PTA - Main points from the meeting in April:

The Quiz Night held last month made £130 profit - well done to all involved.

There will be a sponsored walk on Sunday, May 26, starting at 10am from the car park in Broadway behind the new shopping mall. The aim is to picnic at Broadway Tower.

A Grease Night will be held on May 18. Tickets are now available for this event, a disco with the theme of the film 'Grease'. Look out for posters around Fladbury and Lower Moor for details. PTA staff will be running the bar, with profits going towards the Millennium Link fund.

The school will be doing a series of events in the week before half term all linked to the Queen's reign. There will be a non-uniform day on Friday, May 31, where children come dressed as kings and queens, and a disco/street party in the playground, where the PTA will help out.

Foreign coins have been paid into the bank but it will be 8-10 weeks before the total will be notified.

Fladbury School pens have all been sold - many thanks to Karen and her 'Buy or be sacked' policy!

Improvements to school grounds: Various changes are being looked at, including obtaining a sundial, renovating the environmental area and improving the area under the trees.

Next meeting will be on Wednesday May 8, at 8pm at the Anchor.
