IN their last games of the season Bromsgrove RFC's mini teams had a successful time at a tournament in Stratford last Sunday.
The U7s and U10s finished second in their groups while the U8s and U11s finished third in their respective groups. The U12s were fourth and U9s fifth.
In the U8s section, Bromsgrove defeated Worcester 15-10, Stratford Pumas 10-0 and Sandal 20-0.
In a close semi-final against Stratford Leopards, Town were the better attacking team but some poor defending led to a 10-5 defeat.
Worcester conceded in the play-off to leave Bromsgrove in a well-deserved third place.
Bromsgrove U12s came up against eventual winners Sandal in their first game and were well beaten 25-0.
In their other games they lost 15-0 to Earlsdon, 15-5 against Stratford and 15-10 to Harbury but did beat Shipston 10-0.
Try scorers were George Russell (two), James Rosser (two) and Jonathan Wilkinson.
Ian Prior was voted man of the season by his team mates.
