MP for Alcester John Maples recently met councillors and residents to discuss their fears and frustrations over flooding in the town.
Mr Maples met Mayor Wendy Weatherhead, Councillors Bill Malin and Susan Adams, and Sylvia Hyde, who is a Conservative candidate standing in the district council elections.
They walked around the area, looking at the flooding hot spots which have caused problems for residents over several years.
Mr Maples was told about the problems with the sewerage system in the area and the group had a look at the route the pipes took.
They inspected Oversley Mill Caravan Park, which saw appalling flooding in recent years, and Mr Maples was also shown the erosion along the riverbank.
Mr Maples said he had listened to the concerns of residents and was striving to get something done about it.
