EVESHAM band Huron hope to hit the stage at festivals around the country this summer.
The Vale quartet have just released their first CD single Girl of Magic, which can be ordered from Andy's Records and larger branches of WH Smith.
The four-track offering is the band's first release on independent label SMG, which is also home to former chart stars East 17. But it is possibly the last they will record in an indie-rock style as lead singer and guitarist Stuart Lister explained.
"We're going into the studio soon to record some new tracks, which are more in an Incubus or Muse kind of style.
"We've been playing the same sort of style for four years, so we're now de-tuning the guitars and making it heavier," he said.
After the recording, the band, with Mike Fordham on bass guitar, lead guitarist James Flanders and Giles Hodges on drums, are looking to play festivals and have applied to play at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
If you would like to order the single, which costs £4, the catalogue number is CDSMG0003 and the distributors are T.H.E and SMG. Alternatively, contact Stuart Lister on 01386 443126.
