HELEN James, Peopleton who works at Wood Norton Hall, travels to America on Monday to take part and represent the UK in a series of tournaments and an international test match.
Helen, who lives in Peopleton, got into Polocrosse - lacrosse on horseback - through her local Pony Club when she was younger. She currently plays "A" Grade Polocrosse which is where all the international players from South Africa, New Zealand and Australia play in International Tournaments.
Helen and the rest of the test match team - Shelly King from Yorkshire, Lizzie Wright Roberts from Wrexham, Ruth and Sarah Simkin from Flint, Jessica Shearing from London and Debbie Harris from Birmingham - will be staying with American families during their stay and riding on horses that will be drawn out of a hat.
