KIDDERMINSTER Harriers lifted the Worcestershire Senior Cup despite losing 1-0 to Moor Green in the second leg of the final at Aggborough last night.

Harriers won 2-1 on aggregate to land the trophy for the 24th time in their history.

In a match that never reached any great heights Dr Martens League Premier Division outfit Moor Green gave Kidderminster cause for concern when they scored in the 20th minute.

It was a well-taken goal from former Worcester City player Danny Scheppel after he had latched on the a through ball by Martin Myers.

For the rest of the game Kidderminster had more than their fair share of attacking play but either missed their chances or were foiled by 'keeper Adam Rachel.

The alert Rachel made his presence felt as early as the sixth minute when he saved well from Sam Shilton.

Shortly after holders Moor Green had taken the lead Dean Bennett sliced a shot over the bar and then a Daire Doyle cross led to Drewe Broughton having an effort well pushed away by Rachel.

Just before half time Andy Ducros had a shot headed off the line by Dennis Mulholland and Broughton chipped inches wide.

After the break Kidderminster continued to find the Moor Green defence difficult to penetrate and there were few shots at target at either end.

Rachel pulled off another fine save to deny Broughton while Moor Green's best second-half effort came in the 81st minute when Marvin Blake saw his curling shot go over the bar.
