"GUTLESS rat-tag of slobbering sycophants?" Methinks the author of the Phillpott File (Evening News, April 9) is destined for The Tower under President Blair.

But that is becoming less likely. New Labour is beginning their plummet back into political obscurity. The only thing left to decide is who shall replace them.

The answer to that question may keep New Labour in power for some time. The only party broadly supported by we, the people, is "None Of The Above". NOTA has no organisation, no manifesto, and no seats, yet it is overwhelmingly supported throughout the land. It is the great silent (apathetic) majority.

NOTA wants to see an end to the "European Experiment;" no involvement in the euro; some form of proportional representation that links to number of votes to the number of "seats"; an end to our revolving door justice system; vandals and yobs flogged until acceptable standards of social behaviour are attained; more (not less) local accountable democracy; an end to the increasing overcrowding of our nation through inward migration, while at the same time offering asylum for those genuinely fleeing for their lives; and politicians who will represent the electorate instead of The Party.

NOTA instinctively understands that none of its political objectives is likely to be supported by politicians seeking re-election, so NOTA will continue to pursue its strategy by voting for none of the above, by abstention.

NOTA is confident that it will soon achieve its objective of having elections in which no one votes, at which point it will introduce its revolutionary new idea of government of the people, by the people, for the benefit of the people.
