n THE item on Monday, April 15 reporting plans to redevelop the Tolladine goods yard, and the cross-party support it received, made for joyous reading.
I was reminded, however, of the recent failure of the planning application to create a dental practice in the Perdiswell area. We were told at the dental hearing of the urgent need for more dentists in the city.
If this need really is as acute as was suggested, why then have medical administrators and the city planners not incorporated into the Tolladine goods yard project provision to meet this need?
The northern area of the city is quite well catered for with four dental practices between Britannia Square and the Northwick Road post office. I suspect the Wyld's Lane area is not at present as well catered for.
