ST BENEDICT'S ended the Evesham Indoor League season on a high with an easy win over Stanway.

Saints have improved throu-ghout the season and rattled up a fine 114-4 with Wilkes (25no) and Sara (23) the chief contributors.

Stanway never recovered from the loss of Lawrence, run out in the first over, and Sara (1-23) completed a fine all-round display as the chasers collapsed to 61 all out to finish bottom of the pile.

Fellow strugglers Bidford made more of a fist of it against Dumbleton as Better-idge and Cooper both hit 25 in a score of 94-4.

The early loss of Hottinger threatened Dumbleton's hopes but they paced their reply to perfection with Reid, Stanton and Gibson all among the runs.

The league's committee would like to express its thanks to Centre manager Trevor Knowles, Tim Granger, Worcestershire Association hall manager, and his volunteer panel of umpires and scorers and, in particular to the competing teams for the excellent spirit the matches were played in.
