BRIGHT sunshine greeted more than 1,000 Kidderminster Scouts and Guides as they made their annual St George's Day parade, taking in three churches.
Parade Marshall Peter Rand led the Junior Royal British Legion Band, followed by Guides and Brownies, to Baxter Church for their service.
The Halesowen Scout Band, Solihull Pipe Band and the 1st Kidderminster Girls and Boys Brigade Band accompanied the Beavers and Cubs to St George's Church, where county commissioner Carol Thompson presented Andy McKillop with the medal of merit.
The parade marched on to St Mary's Church where Scouts and Venture Scouts joined guests including town mayor John Stevens, Kidderminster Scouts president Richard Webb and vice presidents Dave Pagett and Michael Brinton.
The salute was taken at Kidderminster Youth Centre in Bromsgrove Street on the return march to the New Road headquarters.
