STOURPORT Town were unlucky to be beaten in the first cup final in their history.
Town were edged out 3-2 on penalties against fellow Bromsgrove League Division Three side Sporting Harborne after a 2-2 stalemate at full-time.
They recovered from going an early goal down against the division's leaders as Jon Ward rammed home a loose ball to equalise.
Keith Bradley and Rob Shaw went close to giving battling Stourport the lead.
Harborne regained the lead on 106 minutes but Stuart Norgrove's spectacular 40-yard effort levelled.
Two Stourport penalties hit the woodwork and Harborne's Lee Brosnan calmly tucked the final spot-kick away.
Stourport: Burgess, Brooks, Bright, Rowson, Giddins, Eddery, Ward, R Shaw, D Marshall, Bellison, Bradley. Subs: Hailes, P Shaw, G Marshall, Faulks, Norgrove.
They are hoping to strengthen the squad for next season with pre-season training in June.
