STEAM trains from the 1960s feature in the latest video from Pershore railway enthusiast Michael Clemens.

The video, entitled Great Central Remembered, is a return journey on the last main line built to London - The Great Central, and was compiled from the archive of cine film taken by Mr Clemens and his late father, Jim.

Filmed on the train and from the lineside, the video follows the route from London Marylebone to Nottingham, going through Aylesbury, Banbury, and then on to Rugby, Lutterworth, Leicester and Loughborough.

Also included is a brief look on the line to Chesterfield and the Woodhead electrified line over the Pennines.
