THE future looks bright for Bewdley Town after their U-16s won the Worcestershire Cup final.
They beat Soccer Scene 1-0 with Steve Holt's goal after just 25 seconds getting them off to a flying start.
Mike Green kept their Worcester opponents' danger-man quiet but man-of-the-match Richard Murphy had to make four great saves to keep Scene at bay in the second half.
Chris Alpine missed a good chance for a Bewdley second, while Scene hit the post but were otherwise kept out by a back five led by skipper Adrian Passey.
Under the guidance of Wayne Payton and Ian Smith, several of the players have appeared for Bewdley's senior side.
