ONCE again Health Secretary Alan Milburn has spoken.
I quote him in the House of Commons on Thursday, April 18.
"The hospitals will not choose patients. Patients will choose hospitals."
That was in a diatribe on just how good the NHS is going to be sometime in the fog of the future.
Accident and emergency departments surround us in Wyre Forest - any point on the compass at least 16 miles away - so pick one folks, and see if the ambulance driver will take you.
And when you need hospitalised treatment, opt for New Cross Hospital in Wolverham-pton - it's brilliant - we can make it ours and fill it with Wyre Foresters!
