BEWDLEY Town kept up their quest for the runners-up spot in West Midland League Division One South with two fine wins.
They put in their best display of the season last Wednesday, winning 3-1 at Lye Town Reserves through Grant Gibbs (two) and Gary Middleton.
And on Saturday Bewdley beat struggling Malvern Rangers 3-0 at Ribbesford Meadows.
The hosts were on top from the start and after missing several chances, Chris Hough fired them in front after 32 minutes.
Bewdley began the second half perfectly when Gibbs put them 2-0 up and three minutes later the game was all over when Middleton scored from the penalty spot after a handball.
Bewdley were only troubled once when captain Dave Harris headed off the goal-line.
On Friday, May 3, Bewdley will entertain second-placed Hinton in a key clash.
