SPHINX recorded a Midland Combination Premier Division double to move to the top of the table and leave Dave Connell's men hanging on to sixth place.
It was 2-2 at the interval but Paul Givens headed in what proved to be the winner within a minute of the restart.
Rob Stevenson and Joao Jordin had earlier twice fired Sphinx ahead - both times taking advantage of slack defending - only for more errors at the back to bring Pershore back into the game.
Scot Furlong, under pressure from Simon Brain, spilled the ball into his own net and Lee Tustin was on hand to stab in a second equaliser on the stroke of half-time after more goalkeeping problems.
Town visit Massey Ferguson tonight (7.45) and then entertain Alveston in their final home game of the season on Saturday (2.45).
King George's stages the final of the Pershore Hospital Charity Sunday Cup on Tuesday night (7.30) when Upton Snods-bury face Kempsey.
