Worcester City 2,

Bishampton Utd 4

UNITED completed their league programme with a fine win over the City outfit, and saw them collect 10 points from a possible 12 in the last four games.

Adam McNicholas scored a splendid hat-trick after Bishampton conceded an early goal.

A long afternoon beckoned for the visitors as the youthful City team played the ball around, guided by the experienced Ray Woods. However, their reply was immediate.

Mark Taylor won the ball in midfield and his pass sent McNicholas clear of the defence and he coolly rolled the ball into the corner.

City came back and continued to have the lion's share of the play, with the visitors relying on the pace of Nick Turner and McNicholas to keep the home defenders on their toes.

City were rocked on 22 minutes when Turner flicked the ball up in the area and McNicholas, falling away, volleyed the ball into the net.

Bishampton were now in full flow and went further ahead ten minutes before half-time when Paul Jeffcoat sent over a pinpoint cross for Bishampton's other 16-year-old, Myles Fenn, to head in.

The half-time roasting the City team had worked wonders as they penned Bishampton into their own half, but despite all of the pressure Rob Bille was not called on to make a save.

Bishampton again relied on quick breaks and were again rewarded, when Fenn sent McNicholas clear and a carbon copy of his first goal followed.

This gave the visitors breathing space and, despite City continuing to have the bulk of the play, they only managed one more goal.

The Bishampton defence held out and restricted the home team to only a few long-range efforts to record a fine victory in what has proved a difficult season.
