A BURGLAR who broke into the house of a man he knew in a small community has been jailed for nine months at Worcester Crown Court.
Clinton Watson was found inside the property in New Forest Close, Far Forest, after smashing a window.
His barrister Peter Arnold said lonely and inadequate Watson wanted a specific item but it was "too embarrassing" to describe in detail what it was in a public court.
Watson, 27, of New Road, Far Forest, wept as Judge Michael Mott said it had to be custody for a night-time break-in.
The defendant was first spotted in the rear garden of the targeted house around 8pm on March 7 by a friend of the householder.
But when the two men returned at 11pm he was in the kitchen with a video taken from a bedroom, said James McCracken, prosecuting.
Watson, who pleaded guilty to burglary, was allowed to leave the house but was arrested by police next day.
He had been to the victim's home on a number of occasions, said Mr Arnold.
Through local knowledge he was aware of what was in the property.
